Singularity Technology Meets with Engineers from Tanaka Kapec Consulting Group!
This Tuesday, members of ST were able to meet with engineering consultant from the Tanaka Kapec design group to discuss STEM and its uses in the workforce.
"This presentation really helped us understand some of the scopes of engineering and what is possible in the real world."
After an hour-long work session, Singularity Technology team members headed up to Wilton Library's Rimer Room for a presentation and meeting with a representative from the Tanaka Kapec design group. According to Build Team member Alex Cameron, "This presentation really helped us understand some of the scopes of engineering and what is possible in the real world." Engineering consultants mainly focus on the target audiences of their client and the desired functions of the products they're being asked to design, maximizing the ergonomics of certain designs or even designing entirely new products based on a client's requirements. As said by Programming Team Captain Rishabh Raniwala, "The ideas he presented are certainly ones we will be using in the future to grab the judges’ eye toward critical parts of the robot. The presentation was fascinating and really got me interested in possibly going into an industrial design career!"
